OK, I admit, yet another compartment for small pieces storage is not the hottest shit in the world of 3D printing. Nevertheless, I think this one is a bit outstanding in means of features and customize-ability. The most important adjustable parameters and options are listed below:

size

number and size of hinges

various options to connect the box and cover hinges

number and size of front lock

arbitrary number and size of pockets

labeling of each pocket in the cover

cover label

optional inserts for fixing parts

I've added STL and gcode files for a nozzle box - just as an example.

But in general, this design makes only sense if you use the Openscad file and customize the parameters to your needs.

There are three different options for mounting the cover on the box:

External pin: Print box and cover as separate peaces. Place the cover on the box and insert a piece of filament in the hinge shafts. I've fixed the filament using a solder iron and melting the end of the pins together with the hinge. I drop of super glue will also do the job. Take care of the hinge size parameters. An outer diameter of 4mm, pin diameter of 2mm and a pin clearance of 0.2mm worked fine with my setup (MK3S+, PETG, 1.75mm filament as pin).

Print in place: The hinge is printed completely, including the pin. This makes only sense, when box and cover part has the same heights. This is done automatically, when you choose this option in the customizer. The nozzle box is an example for this approach. I've tested this with following hinge parameters: outer diameter 3.8mm, pin diameter 2mm and pin clearance of 0.4mm.

Clip-on: The shaft of the hinge on the cover side is opened by a defined angle. On the box side of the hinge a fixed pin is printed. The idea is to clip the cover on the hinge pins of the box. I'm still testing this options, if a find reliable working parameters, they will follow.

The internal pockets are generated by inserting dividers. Position and count of dividers are defined by arrays, which give the divider position in % of the inner width or length. The array must be in ascending order and start with a zero-value and end with 100. Subsequent zeros are ignored.
