Universal Spool Holder for Prusa i3 Models The Main Advantage: a Spool is Placed on Moving Rollers That Can Be Easily Adjusted to Any Spool Width - Spools with Any Diameter and Width Can Be Used, and Adjustment Time Is Just a Few Seconds. Parts Needed: 2 8mm Rods Many 608 Bearings (Depending on How Many Rollers You Want to Install) Two Main Supports Need to Be Printed and Screwed into the Printer Frame. I Had Wires on the Left Side of My Printer (HicTop), So I Added Two Versions of the Main Support, One Normal and One with Cut-Off for Wires. Slider Ends Are Not Moving Sliders That You Put on the Rods Like Stoppers. As Many Slider Ends as You Want Can Be Made Depending on the Length of the Rods You Have. My Version Has 4 Slider Ends and 2 End Slider Ends, Allowing Me to Use Up to 3 Spools at a Time. P.S. I Included SolidWorks Sources for All Versions, But Normally, You Should Use the Latest Version of Parts. P.S.S. The Wheel for Bearings Was Found Somewhere on Thingiverse, and the Idea of Printed Linear Bearing Wasn't Mine. Print Settings: Printer: HicTop Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2-0.3mm Infill: 30% Notes: Printed in PLA Only with a 0.2mm Layer Height at the Beginning and Then 0.3. Design Process: Designed in Solidworks. Most Parts Have More Than One Version Because of Updates, So It's Better to Use the Latest Ones.
