*** Update - I have now expanded this Cubesat design to a 2U compatible size by remixing it. Assembly is similar to the original 1U CubeSat, please refer to the 2U link https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4249498 ***\r\n\r\nWith the growing popularity of CubeSats, there's never been more 3d printable designs available than now. However, I found it challenging to integrate popular CPU or MCU platforms like Raspberry Pi and Arduino Uno into these designs without compromising their printability or aesthetics. To address this issue, I set out to design a custom platform that doesn't require print supports, looks great, and can accommodate various boards I regularly use.\r\n\r\nThis 1U CubeSat is designed to be fully compatible with the 1U CubeSat standard developed by California Polytechnic State University's CubeSat Program. It serves as an educational non-spaceflight qualified model for developing low-cost CubeSat projects that can also be used for HAB (High Altitude Balloon) projects, Sounding Rocket projects, or other STEM-related projects.\r\n\r\nThis allows students, makers, space enthusiasts, and CubeSat engineers to easily integrate common open-source platforms such as Raspberry Pi’s or Arduino Uno’s depending on their specific application. It also features PC/104 compatibility for added versatility.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the 3d prints themselves, hardware required includes;\r\n- 28 M3 x 10mm Philip Head Screws\r\n- 28 M3 Nuts\r\n- At least 4 M3 Standoffs\r\n- 4 M2 Screws and Threaded inserts for the Raspberry Pi Cam V2 Module.\r\n\r\nPlease refer to the instructions below on assembly, configuration selection.
