One day, when the post office was closed, I used the outdoor mailbox drop off boxes in the parking lot for posting mail. I designed a model based on a picture (enclosed) and estimated the size using visual appearance since I didn't have a tape measure. The design includes an internal mechanism for mail retrieval and letter deposit based on my observations. However, I couldn't disassemble a real mailbox as it is government property.
