Unistrut Solar Panel Clamp

Unistrut Solar Panel Clamp

Clamp device to attach standard 100w solar panels to unistrut. This design is similar to some commercial designs I have seen. uses a 3/8th's by 2 1/2in lag bolt, washer, split washer and matching nut. the nut is designed to be press fit in to the print with a vice or persuaded in with a hammer. Printed at ~99% infill with cubic infill. not sure if this made any difference between 100% or not. because of how the forces are applied you might try printing the top half of the clamp vertically to use the print orientation to your advantage. if printed horizontally you could experience a layer split if your layer adhesion is sub par. PETG was chosen for the material for its UV resistance and ease of printing over ABS. it should also absorb less water. each clamp was torqued to ~30inlbs. you can probably go lighter. I went with a higher value to stress test.
