This is the inner chamber of the boiler on the the Union Pacific Big Boy. The front end had fire tubes that led to the smoke chamber, while the lower opening fit over the 20 foot by 8 foot fire bed. As I add the rest of the boiler and its thousands of rivets and stay bolts and hundreds of flue tubes I will update this model. Or I might just delete it and make a new post.
