Unimat SL Thread Cutter.Recently bought an old Unimat SL mini lathe, I think a mk4.You can purchase a thread cutting attachment addon, if you can find one but they ain't cheepSo I made my own DIY vision.(This is my second try, my first attempt worked but cut left handed threads doh!)You will need a 8mm Linear Rail Shaft Rod with Block Support(something like this eg https://amzn.eu/d/cejVDXS)Plus drive drive belt you can cut to sizePulley came from *GT2-belt-pulley by imaicomhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4613338Cogs generated using Modulus Gear Customizer by SciTeacherEdhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2572111A attaches to motor spindle + washer where screw hold it onto shaftB attaches to main shaft + Spacer file, or some nylon washers so you can bolt it togetherC attaches to screw shaft + washer each side.D attaches one to each end of the Linear rail, glue or grub screw in fitting is tightYou can then manually turn the shaft to cut thread.Or connect drill to main shaft to make like easier, as it will go both ways nice and slowly.Or a ratchet like I use.Sure some tweaks requires but it should get you started.
