The intricate design is a blend of a bas-relief, a majestic capital, and an ornate Greek key frieze adorned with a delicate ribbon trim. Beneath it, two enigmatic apostles are immortalized, their identities unknown to this day. Above them, the capital bursts forth with scrolling foliage that appears to spring from the very jaws of a mythical creature. These fragments were once part of the grand chapterhouse portal of Toulouse's magnificent cathedral of Saint-Étienne.
