I Made This Adapter for My Uniden Radio. Since my radio's battery stopped charging, I had to think of a solution that didn't involve buying a new one. Instead, I came up with an adapter that uses the car lighter to power it. The USB cable connects directly to the car lighter, and this provides enough power for my device. All that was left to do was drill a hole in the back cover so the cable could go through and close again. To make your own version of this adapter, you'll need the printed part, 2 M4X10 screws, and a USB cable. Start by cutting off one end of the cable and then splitting it into its individual wires. Next, wrap each wire around the right screw and tighten it firmly. Just remember that the original battery is 4.8V at 700mA, but most standard USB transformers put out 5V at 1000mA.
