This is a work in progress. Detailed documentation and build instructions have been uploaded but are still subject to change and update. Please let me know of suggestion to improve the documentation or if file seem to be missing. There has been limited testing and there are a number if item that I am still trying to improve, but it works. The motor I am using is low power and stops when the yarn tension gets to high. This means that when there is yarn barf or tangle the motor will stop. The motor also then to get over heated and slow down, to compensate a fan has been added. Files: 01 – gear support (1) 02 – Gear 19 teeth* (1) 03 – gear 35 teeth* (1) 04 - 24 teeth* 91) 05a,b &c spindle (1 each) 08a,b & c Cross washer (2 each maybe more) 09 - shaft support inside (1) 10 – shaft support outside (1) 14 – follower (1) 25 – follower plug (1) 23 – Cardboard-Reed Shaft (1**) 24 – Royal Shaft (1**) should be printer with high precision, such as Cura Dynamic Quality – 0.16mm or above. *gears may last longer if printed in PETG, but I have not tried this. ** If you use cardboard cone or Silver Reed Cones print 23 – Cardboard-Reed Shaft (1**) and 18 - Cardboard Cone. if you use Royal cones print 24 – Royal Shaft (1**) and 19 - Royal Cone. For all other items I have used CHEP’s Filament Friday Good (0.20) Cura Profile (https://thangs.com/designer/CHEP/3d-model/Filament%20Friday%20Good%20(0.20)%20Cura%20Profile%20-342711) with acceptable results. Winding shafts should be printed using a raft but I have not found supports necessary. 01 – gear support should be printed flat side down with support. The 07a – 20mm sander can be used to smooth the bottom of the socket for the 23mm skate board bearing. Glue the sander to a piece of sand paper, cut around the sander. A hex screw drive should be able to drive the sander.
