unicorn mold
thingiverse
My kids are absolutely crazy about squishies, and I've noticed that silicone squishies are all the rage right now. Since I have a 3D printer and a stash of silicone on hand, it's pretty straightforward to create silicone squishies for anything I find on Thingiverse. This is my first attempt at making a mold, but it turned out surprisingly well. The tricky part was getting the ears out of the mold, but they do eventually come out. The volume of this thing is exactly 125 milliliters or 4 and 1/4 fluid ounces. Keep that in mind when mixing silicone or chocolate or whatever you plan to fill this thing with. You'll end up with a squishy that's about 100 mm tall, which is quite substantial. Thanks to Pipe951 for the model. I also included the model with fewer triangles, which I had to create in order to import it into Tinkercad. I managed to bring it down from 60 MB to 2.5 MB without noticing a significant difference. Additionally, I removed the tongue because I thought it wouldn't work well with silicone - it's too easy to tear. This thing was made with Tinkercad.
