Unicorn Headbands

I created these custom birthday party favors for my little girls special day. One size should fit comfortably on all, making it a convenient choice. The design is two-dimensional and prints smoothly with standard PLA, PETG, or ABS settings without any issues. This print looks amazing with two colors. I highly recommend switching to a different filament color after 1mm of height and before reaching 4mm for the best results. You can easily code this into your slicer software or, if you have an MK3 printer with a reliable filament sensor, simply snip the filament at the 1mm mark and let the printer guide you through the rest of the print. Even with my well-calibrated Prusa i3 MK3 printer, I experienced peeling issues towards the end of the headband and sometimes at the horn's tip. You might be able to solve this problem by using adhesive. However, I do not advise over-squashing the first layer as it can cause discomfort due to a thin piece of filament digging into the skin. To resolve these issues, I designed an updated version with "peelguards" that increase the surface area at the most problematic areas. Simply trim them off with a sharp exacto knife and smooth out the edges when you're finished printing.
