Undermount Desk Drawer for CR10 Size Printer (With STEP File)
thingiverse
This is a slide out desk drawer that can be printed on a CR10 size printer, an Ender3 size drawer remix available here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4115043. A cable management clip allows a USB cable to be passed into the drawer and secured with a zip tie if needed. The dovetail rail appears strong, though I did not test its weight capacity. I plan to use it for storing office supplies and a phone. Cable management parts are now included. The drawer requires the following hardware: 2x M4 brass inserts, 2x M4 x 14 (or 16)mm button head screws for mounting the handle. Optionally, a M4 nut and M4 screw can be used to "lock" the drawer. To install the handle, heat set the M4 inserts into it first, then place the handle inserts in the pockets of the handle. They can be glued or not. Attach the handle with the inserts on the drawer using two M4x14mm screws. If the inserts are too tight, scale them down to 99% and re-print them or sand them. I printed mine in 0.2mm resolution with a 0.4mm nozzle. Printing with 3 walls minimum and 20% gyroid infill worked well for me. The first one I printed had a poor surface finish due to a worn nozzle, but the second one was much better after using a new nozzle. The STEP file is included for easy remixing. If you make one, please post a make, and if you have feedback, please post a comment. Parts are not oriented for printing. Update: 1/19/2020 The Mount has been updated with a new version that fits better (undermount-drawer-1Z-MOUNT.stl). I have tested this model, but if you experience any issues, let me know and I will upload the model with more clearance.
