Underhoull (lower) viking farmstead, Unst
sketchfab
A Viking/Norse Farmstead at Underhoull, Shetland Isles, Scotland Thrives. The long house boasts uniquely bowed (boat shaped) walls that echo the architectural style of a bygone era. A similar phase at Jarlshof dates back to AD800-850, providing a fascinating glimpse into the lives of our Viking ancestors. The site proudly overlays an earlier Iron Age settlement, with the earlier remains largely unexcavated in order to preserve the integrity of the historic Viking site.
