Undercarriage Fan Shroud for Lawsys New Carriage v2 - Solidoodle
thingiverse
I made an underside fan duct that fits Lawsy's new replacement carriages - centre front v2. I'm using an E3D V6 on my Solidoodle, but I'm not sure if it will fit with another hot end. It bothered me that the only fan duct out there was Lawsy's fan duct, which is designed for a 30x30x5 mm fan and impossible to find. So, I made one that can be adjusted to 30x30x7 or 30x30x10. You can adjust it to your desired height using washers - see the pictures. I couldn't get it to print at first, so I created a stripped-down version and printed that instead. I used it with a 30x30x10 fan to print the actual fan shroud. For convenience, I included the temporary fan shroud as well. It can be printed without support by standing on its face where the fan is mounted (see picture 3). I printed this in PLA and it works just fine for over 50 print hours and counting. To secure the fan to it, use M3 bolts - the holes are a tight fit, no nut needed. If you didn't insert an M3 nut into Lawsy's new replacement carriage v2, you'll need to take it apart and add them. This will not hold without those nuts.
