The bogie frame encompasses two longitudinal beams - sidewalls and interconnecting transverse beams. Wheelsets perceive their weight, receiving torque from traction motors. In modern electric locomotives, an individual drive is typically utilized. There are two types of suspension for traction motors: nose and RAMS.
