Under Desk Spool Holder

After building my new workbench, I needed an efficient way to organize my filament spools and maintain a clean workspace. So, I designed a straightforward yet sturdy mount that can be easily attached under the desk. And here's the result: This is a simple mount that can be screwed onto any edge surface. It accommodates an 8mm steel shaft. You can secure it with glue or use a threaded rod and add nuts to minimize space usage. I also included various spindles in different lengths: 54mm spools (800g from "Das Filament") 64mm spools (1000g generic spools) 104mm spools (2600g from "Das Filament") All spindles have the ideal size for standard 608 bearings and fit snugly without needing glue. Each spindle has the same distance between the inner bearings, so the shaft only needs to be 80mm long plus 80mm within the holder. You can simply place the spindles without a nut, but they will still hold securely from their own weight; you can also use a nut to tighten them against the bearings and adjust the roll resistance of the spool. Update: I've added a simple filament guide for sideways extruders, allowing them to effectively access the filament at a higher point.
