I acquired a Cable Matters Thunderbolt hub (also known as USB type C), model 201031-BLK from Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076TRGGM6/. Subsequently, I obtained an Eve V, which is similar to the Microsoft Surface but offers certain advantages. Given my new work-from-home arrangement, this computer will likely remain stationary on my desk, so I sought a way to securely attach the hub to the desk itself. Due to the short cable length, it must be placed very close to the Eve V's location; however, it can just barely reach if positioned under the desk with the kickstand folded down as low as possible. The hub is connected to a KVM switch, allowing me to utilize a genuine keyboard and another monitor simultaneously, as well as an Ethernet connection. I employ binder clips to firmly clamp this holder to the underside of my desk. Initial results indicate that it should function adequately. The box's fit was slightly looser than anticipated, suggesting that adjusting the "slack" variable to a smaller value might improve its snugness or lining it with thin felt could be an alternative solution.
