This Ceiling Fan / Light pull chain knob, handle, finial, fob is specifically engineered for use with standard #6 (3.2mm) ball chain. It will also function effectively with smaller chains as long as a #6 metal connector is used. THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT PAIR FOR A CEILING FAN / LIGHT COMBO. To install this knob, simply feed the chain through the top of the print and attach a standard #6 connector to it. If using a ball chain and metal connector, you can form a loop around a keyring and hook with the other end of the connector. If no metal connector is available, you can print the BALL-CONNECTOR.stl file included. Note that if printed in PLA, the fit may be tight. To ensure proper installation, lay the chain on a hard surface, position the connector over the last ball of the chain and push down until it snaps into place. Alternatively, you can use string with a large knot tied in the end. For optimal performance, I typically print objects with 10% infill; however, if used on a ceiling fan, a higher infill may be desirable for added weight.
