Uncle Sam Circus Stiltwalker

Uncle Sam Circus Stiltwalker

thingiverse

In honor of the 4th of July, Uncle Sam graces many parades on stilts, leading festive celebrations. Circus parades have always been patriotic, but particularly during the 20th century's major wars when a towering stilt-walking Sam led both street processions and big top spectaculars. The tall hat and striped trousers (as seen in the attached photo) contribute to the illusion of Sam's height. This model is approximately O scale, with a ratio of 1/4 inch per foot. To print Sam, use a raft and minimal supports due to his large height-to-width proportion. The red stripes featured in the photograph are from a hobby store's 1/32 striping tape.
