UnAmiga case
thingiverse
This is the case for UnAmiga. I was dissatisfied with bare electronics exposed, so I went ahead and designed a printable case. This was the outcome. I uploaded two main versions: one is a standard case, and the other has pads on corners. Sometimes, I have problems with corners lifting, and these round pads on corners work similarly to brim, but they're only applied to specific areas of the print, and they seem to be effective. After printing, I just cut them off. For the top, I also included a clean version so users can apply their own symbols or simply opt for a clean design. Button shafts are designed to fit over their respective buttons. Depending on the plastic color and density, the power LED might be visible through the case. In my case, the plan was to print button shafts with transparent plastic so the LED would shine through it. Unfortunately, I don't currently have any clear transparent filament available, so I settled for using the same plastic as the case. I tried using blue PETG filament, but it's too blue for the LED to shine through in a meaningful way. As for the LED that shows HDD activity, I left a small hole above it. The diameter should be roughly 1.75 mm, allowing a filament string to pass through it. My plan is to insert a piece of clear transparent filament string into the hole, which will then connect to the LED on the PCB, passing its light through.
