UMX firewall motor mount
thingiverse
This is my first creation! Made on the very day I received my first 3D printer. It's part of the motor mounting system found in many UMX planes sold by Horizon under their EFlite and Parkzone brands. It accepts standard stick mount motors, or the CNC aluminum motor adapter shown in these pictures. My printer failed to produce a precise 5mm hole for the stick shaft. I simply heated up the hole with a soldering iron and forced the shaft into place, and it worked just fine. In the future, I'd like to design a motor mount that eliminates the need for an aluminum adapter altogether. However, my skills are currently limited to TinkerCAD, and it's not advanced enough for what I have in mind.
