UMO Dust Cover

UPDATE: Re-designed the sliders to ensure complete coverage!! I recently had the chance to inspect an industrial FMD printer and a mill with dust covers on its axes. The accordion-like cover prevented dust from entering the machine, and I thought it could be adapted for my UMO. Here's how to do it: Print all parts in the required quantity. Download and print the print head cover (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:77120) if you don't already have it. Cut IKEA Schottis to length. Assemble the slider by combining the accordion mount with the accordion beams. Note that one side must be left open to allow for sliding the Bowden tube through. Attach the shorter Schottis pieces to the accordion beams using double-sided tape. Connect the front and rear cover parts using connectors and cyanoacrylate glue, leaving one side open to accommodate the Bowden tube. Secure the shorter Schottis pieces to the front and rear covers with double-sided tape. To finish the project, you can add a closure for the remaining opening, but I chose to skip it. Instead, simply print, mount, and enjoy your partially enclosed UMO top.
