UMC - Universal motion controller

Video can be found here: https://youtu.be/ek0E6k3FHqc I initially created this UMC to control my 3D printed servo, which I had made some time ago. However, I soon realized that it could be developed into a modular system that could be used in numerous applications, making it very useful for many people. The UMC allows you to convert almost any geared brushed motor of around 500 watts and 12V into a radio-controlled servo. For example, you can turn a windscreen wiper motor into a servo. Windscreen wiper motors are strong, affordable, and easily obtainable by most people if they know where to look. If this option is not available for you, you can simply order a motor with a gear reduction attached to it. Alternatively, you could create your own gear reduction using 3D printing, just like I did with my 3D-printable servo project (project details can be found here: https://hackaday.io/project/162855-3d-printable-high-torque-servogear-reduction) I designed the UMC to be as simple as possible. It only has two IN-ports: Power-in and signal from the receiver (RX), and two OUT ports to the servo: Power-out and feedback position signal from the servo. This results in only four connections, reducing the complexity of the system. I created the controller PCB using EasyEDA and had it manufactured by JLCPCB. The Arduino Nano is used as the controller on the PCB. The PCB features a reverse polarity protection system, a voltmeter, Power LED, RGB LED, and various connectors to the potentiometer, RX, and BTS7960B motor driver. I employed the BTS7960B motor driver to control the speed and direction of the electric motor used in the servo. The case is designed to snap fit together, minimizing the number of screws required. Video can be found here: https://youtu.be/ek0E6k3FHqc More information, schematics, gerber files, and more can be found here: https://hackaday.io/project/170604-umc-universal-motion-controller Tools used: PLA filament: https://www.banggood.com/Creality-3D-White-or-Black-or-Yellow-or-Blue-or-Red-1KG-1_75mm-PLA-Filament-For-3D-Printer-p-1290153.html?p=E01411629100201406T1&custlinkid=926158 Recommended 3D-printer: https://www.banggood.com/Creality-3D-Ender-3-Pro-V-slot-Prusa-I3-DIY-3D-Printer-Kit-p-1346320.html?p=E01411629100201406T1&custlinkid=677427
All my project files, instructions, schematics are provided for free so everyone around the world can enjoy them.
