PoCThis solution makes it possible to achieve a secure connection using simple components such as springs, levers and properly designed geometries.The mechanism utilizes the way the panels are transported as a safeguard against accidental triggering. Both sides are prevented from moving (expanding) as long the plate alongside the hexagon is present. Once the panel is removed, the U-handle slides out and the hook is still held in place by the trigger mechanism, released only when the two hexagons make contact.- The resulting clamping force of the panels is obtained by selecting the right springs. Adjusting the force requires replacing the springs.- Accelerations will not trigger the mechanism until the entire package of panels is breached.- The operation of the device does not depend on temperature-sensitive materials or use plastic deformation mechanisms, the materials used are titanium alloys, aluminum and spring steel.- The weight of a single set does not exceed 300g ( approximated using Fusion360 mass prop.)- BONUS: it is possible to obtain impacts after latching.
