I needed a makeshift handle for my umbrella immediately. I promptly disassembled the GoPro mount and drilled a hole for the umbrella shaft. The result was a functional fix that restored my umbrella to working condition. Upon handling it, I must admit that the feel is not entirely satisfactory, but the aesthetics are pleasing and the umbrella is now serviceable once more.
