To resolve this problem, a redesigned holder using a PET drinks bottle with the same screw cap allows for water filling, roll insertion, and secure snapping of the lid into the base driven by the cap. The result is a 1.6 kg heavy base with low center, ensuring stability when using it with one hand. This feature is essential in a kitchen where multitasking is common. Replacing rolls is easy as well, simply tearing the cover from the base through printed notches. The materials are recyclable, inexpensive, and can be produced using mass production technology. A version for wall mounting will soon be available. This model's evolution is the Umbra paper towel holder.
