Within the past week, I have successfully printed Taulman Bridge Nylon with my UM2 for the first time. The success was made possible by several key measures. Firstly, I enclosed the system in a box to create an elevated temperature environment that reaches up to 105F after about ten minutes of running time. Next, I applied a fresh coat of 10% Elmer's glue solution on the bed before each job, which helped to prevent parts from sticking and leaving clean spots on the glass without any residue. Furthermore, I adjusted the temperature settings until I found a sweet spot that prevented charred black spots from forming in the nozzle while still achieving a good juicy melt. Specifically, I used a 230C nozzle and an 80C bed temperature, which worked perfectly for me. Finally, I made sure to keep the filament dry, which is crucial when printing with nylon. I would like to acknowledge the designers who inspired my creation. This design was remixed on Tinkercad from "spoolholder for smaller inner diameter" by Ed Driesen, and can be found on Youmagine at https://www.youmagine.com/designs/um2-spoolholder-for-smaller-inner-diameter.
