UM2 Power Cord Holder version 2
youmagine
This is version 2 of the power cord clip/holder, engineered for stability and ease of use. It boasts a longer width and taller height than its predecessor, providing a secure grip on the cord. The design addresses a common issue with the UM2's power connector, which can be prone to slipping out. This updated model is specifically designed to keep the power cord securely in place. To install the clip, start by powering off the UM2. Then, lay it on its side and relocate the stepper cords out of the way. Position the clip between the end and contact switch, ensuring a snug fit. Next, clip the power cord into the holder and attach the clip under the UM2 as shown in the accompanying photos. Finally, slide the clip to your desired position, making sure all connections are secure. This item is printed using PLA, but any material will do. The print speed used was between .15 and .2, although this detail is not crucial. A nozzle of .6 was employed, with a fill density of 55% to achieve a slightly flexible texture. Support structures were not required, and a brim was omitted in favor of hairspray for added adhesion.
