UM2 Power Cord Clip

UM2 Power Cord Clip

This is version 2 of a smaller power cord clip/holder I created, which has been shared on Youmagine. This is a non-invasive style solution that provides more stability for holding the cord due to its longer width and taller height. The power connector to the UM2 isn't very secure, so this clip was designed to secure the power cord better than just hanging off the UM2. I recommend powering off the UM2 before connecting the clip. Place the UM2 on its side and move the stepper cords out of the way as you clip it onto the UM2, positioning it between the end and the contact switch. Then attach the clip under the UM2, as shown in the photos. Slide the clip to the desired position, making sure the connections are snug. Ensure that the power connector is straight into the UM2 power port before powering up the UM2. This design has helped me, and I hope it will also help you. I am working on another version now. Print settings were as follows: PLA material was used, with a printing speed of 45 (you can use higher speeds if desired). No supports or brims were needed. A nozzle size of .6 was used (.4 may provide clearer lettering on the front of the clip), and a fill density of 55 was chosen to achieve a balance between strength and flexibility.
