UM2 Bearing Filament Roller

This ball bearing roller was inspired by (and fits perfectly onto) this nice spool holder designed by frank26080115. https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker2-filament-spool-holder-by-frank26080115 I wanted a high-quality ball bearing roller that would fit seamlessly into this holder. The bearings fitted snugly, but I was able to pull them into the roller using the nuts. You can easily adjust the model to fit other bearings if needed or desired. If you have any questions about what parameters to adjust, please don't hesitate to ask, as it's intended to be self-explanatory. Installation of bearings into the roller is a straightforward process: 1) Place one fender washer onto the 1/4" bolt and let it slide against the hex nut. 2) Place one bearing onto the 1/4" bolt and slide it against the fender washer. 3) Position the spool roller onto the bolt. 4) Place the second bearing onto the bolt. 5) Place the second fender washer onto the bolt. 6) Screw one of the nyloc nuts onto the bolt. 7) Carefully tighten the nyloc nut, ensuring that the bearings are pressing into the roller correctly. The bolt should hold them straight, making sure they're centered in the roller and not caught on an edge. As you tighten the nut, the bearings will be pulled into the roller. 8) Remove the nyloc nut. 9) Remove all parts from the bolt - the bearings should remain securely within the roller. 10) Place the bolt through the roller bearings and secure with one nyloc nut. 11) Place one fender washer on the end of the bolt. 12) Insert the bolt through Frank's spool holder. 13) Place the second fender washer onto the bolt. 14) Secure the assembly into the spool holder with a second nyloc nut. 15) Mount the spool holder with roller onto your Ultimaker 2 and enjoy.
