UM2 Aluminum Extrusion Cable Chain Keeper

UM2 Aluminum Extrusion Cable Chain Keeper

I needed a simple way to keep the cable chain from slipping around. A straightforward solution that works well and is compact was essential. To make it visible, I printed it in white, but it will be re-printed in black soon. I used an M3x8 socket cap screw and a post assembly nut. Ensure you have enough links in your chain before securing this to the frame to avoid any issues. Another idea would be a small part that can move along the extrusion as the cable chain moves back and forth. Rotate the object 90 degrees when printing to eliminate support needs entirely. If anyone has a better idea or some suggestions, please let me know. Printer Settings: Printer: Ultimaker 2 Aluminum Extrusion Rafts: No rafts were used. Supports: Supports are not necessary in this case. Resolution: The resolution was set at .2 mm. Infill: Infill percentage was set to 100%.
