UM2 Aluminium - BoXon Remixed parts
thingiverse
I encountered difficulties tightening the brackets sufficiently. The screws would strike the aluminum profile before the nut could tighten against it, so I modified the original parts and added 1mm of thickness to make room for the nut to secure more firmly against the plastic part. This issue likely stemmed from my use of aluminum profiles from Motedis instead of Misumi as specified in the Bill of Materials (BOM). However, with this simple modification, it now functions flawlessly. I also added a new front panel for the LCD screen because my SD slot was off by 2mm, so I relocated it upwards to accommodate SD cards. The knob on the front panel had a tendency to get stuck and didn't rotate as smoothly as expected, but after modifying it, it moves much more freely now, requiring only one finger to rotate. I took the front panel from the A360 file and adapted it for installation after the bed was already in place since I forgot to include it initially and didn't want to disassemble everything again. Additionally, I narrowed the bottom of the front panel so that it wasn't as snug a fit, but no screws are required, maintaining a tight seal nonetheless.
