UM clone BMG + E3Dv6 carriage (Now with mounts!)
thingiverse
Made for utilizing the Dual Drive BMG extruder and the E3Dv6 (any type) in an Ultimaker carriage configuration using LM8LUU bearings. I've also included a file for those with 12mm bearings, featuring a 0.2mm tolerance (12.2mm diameter). If you need modifications to accommodate better tolerances or a different bearing size, just ask and I'll see it through eventually. Crafted in Fusion 360, the design should be easily modified once the F3D file is uploaded. You'll require three nuts, six 6mm M3 screws, and a small length of 4mm PTFE tubing to complete this project. This design was created from scratch, unlike another existing model that served as inspiration. I aimed to build it from the ground up to ensure accuracy and performance. October 4, 2020 I've added the latest version, which incorporates screw holes for mounts. Additionally, nylon straps have been integrated to securely hold bearings in place, addressing potential misalignment issues caused by minor inaccuracies. This should enhance overall accuracy and make it easier to tighten the bearings. Two mounts I was using – one for an induction sensor and another for a blower fan – have also been included. With this design, you can now create your own custom mounts!
