The Ulugh Beg Observatory is a renowned facility located in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Constructed in the early 15th century by Timurid astronomer Ulugh Beg, it was one of the most outstanding observatories within the Islamic realm. Notable scholars who worked at this esteemed site include Al-Kashi, Ali Qushji, and Ulugh Beg himself. Tragically, the observatory met its demise in 1449, only to be rediscovered centuries later in 1908.
