Ultron 7 Helmet Modeled for Crimson Cowl Costume I've successfully modeled up my Ultron 7 helmet for a Crimson Cowl costume and I'm currently in the process of printing it out. It took me some time to fine-tune the PETG settings on my CR10. ***Preliminary Print Finished, Adjustments Needed My preliminary print is complete but needs some minor adjustments before I can move forward. I need to nudge one of the tools for the circle surrounding the "ear" on one side as it's a bit too deep and open up the bottom more to make it wearable. I'll tackle these changes this weekend. Once I have my hands on more PETG, I'll do what should be my final print. Unfortunately, Matterhackers is currently out of 1.75mm PETG, so I'm waiting for a restock. ***Print Disrupted by OctoPi Crash About three-quarters of the way through my preliminary print, my OctoPi crashed, forcing me to start over. I tried to estimate where to begin but made an error, resulting in ten misplaced layers in the wrong direction. Despite this setback, I'll attempt another print tomorrow with adjustments in place. ***Final Print Underway After making the necessary adjustments, I've started a new print and it's going smoothly so far. If everything checks out, I'll upload the final version once it's complete. Thank you for your patience and understanding. ***Print Complete, Uploading Soon I've finally achieved a good print with MakeShaper's PETG, a raft, slow speeds (50mm/s), and plenty of patience. This weekend, I'll be uploading the final version, which will include both STL and Fusion 360 files. Please forgive my unorthodox design process in Fusion. ***Helmet Painted and Assembled The final print is now painted with super gloss black followed by several layers of Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome. I've uploaded photos of the drying parts; once it's assembled, I'll upload photos of the finished helmet.
