Ultri Leg
thingiverse
A reworked version of ulflindestrom's ultri leg, carefully disassembled into two pieces to expedite printing and get it airborne once more. The leg cross brace has been reinforced, and printing it on the side effectively counters the shearing force that occurs when scraping the ground, altering the orientation of the layers. This design modification shifts the point of failure from the original leg's shearing to the joint where the pieces are glued together, requiring additional glue to get it flying again. Any criticisms or suggestions for improvement are welcome, as I am new to CAD and eager to learn from my mistakes. Edit: Printed at a layer height of 0.2mm with 80% fill using either blue PLA or natural ABS. A brim was necessary on the ABS to prevent warping. In retrospect, a raft with a gap of 0.2mm for the first layer would have prevented the messy print from cutting away the brim. Full credit goes to ulflindestrom for his original design and for creating the amazing Ultri-copter!
