Ultrasound Switch Replacement

A local Ultrasound Clinic for expecting mothers reached out to me about a broken switch on their Ultrasound Transducer (S-VAW4-7). The tech was stumped because they couldn't get replacement parts, and without a working switch the unit was essentially useless. I quickly designed a solution in solidworks that allowed for easy printing. I could have copied the original design exactly but chose to simplify it for added strength and printability. I did the CAD work pro bono to help out the local business, and even printed extra copies for them just in case they had any other switch failures. The replacement switches fit perfectly and worked flawlessly. This was the first truly useful print I'd done since moving to Texas, as it saved a product that otherwise would have been difficult or impossible to replace due to lack of availability or hard-to-find parts.
