Ultrasonic scanning sensor test platform
thingiverse
In constructing robots, I aimed to explore ultrasonic sensors beyond obstacle avoidance, specifically for door opening detection. However, I lacked knowledge on how to achieve this goal. Additionally, I decided to delegate some sensor tasks to another processor. This endeavor served as a platform to develop navigation software. In its final form, the package will be more compact. Assembling the parts is straightforward; drilling holes in servo arms for M1 hardware attachment was necessary. The target board requires soldering crystals and capacitors. Two three-pin headers were added for sensor and servo connectivity, along with a six-pin header for programming. The RS232 converter links to the 2313's SIO ports. To build the project, use the files in Ultrasonic.zip, which should be well-commented for easy understanding. Monitoring output is done using a terminal emulation program.
