I've created a custom waterproof enclosure for my trusty ultrasonic distance sensor, the HC-SR04. This affordable gadget helps me track the water level in my rainwater collection tank with ease. The housing is designed to fit snugly over a 5x3 cm hole in the tank's lid - I use a durable food-grade 220 liter screw-top container, which works beautifully for this purpose. After printing it out of ABS material, I've found that the lid and feet fit perfectly into their designated spaces, ensuring a secure seal.
