Introduction ==================== This upgrade has evolved into a brand new printer, still based on Hypercube evolution but inspired by E3D Tool Changer printer. It's something entirely different now. It uses 3x TW-04-09 from Igus and 3x TS-04-09 as linear guide, also compatible with MGN9 with minor adjustments. The idlers are 2x F623ZZ mounted in a mirrored setup. Designed to cut out of a 4mm aluminum sheet measuring 1000mm x 500mm. BOM ----------------------------------- 1. Mechanical * 24 units F623ZZ (ABEC3 or better) * 8 units SK8 rod support (SK12 if your rods are 12mm) * 4 round rods 8mm (you can use 12mm instead) * 4 units LMK8LUU (LMK12LUU if your rods are 12mm) * 2 Lead screw with backlash (you can use Ball screw if you have the budget for it) * 2 Linear guide TW-04-09 x 350mm (Or MGN9 350mm) * 1 Linear guide TW-04-09 x 400mm (Or MGN9 400mm) * 3 Linear Carriage TS-04-09 (Or MGN9H) * 4 3030R 500mm Aluminum extrusion (you can use regular 3030, but the round one is prettier) * 4 2020 380mm Aluminum extrusion * 6 2020 420mm Aluminum extrusion * 12 anchor connector for 2020 (you can use regular L brackets, but the connectors are more stylish) * A bunch of screws that I have not counted yet. 2. Electronics: Any board you like. I'm using a Duet2 Ethernet from Duet3D on this one. 1 Power Supply 24v 1 E3D v6 Hotend 24v 1 heatbed of your desired size 5 Nema17 2 Endstops (mechanical or optical, your choice) 1 Z Probe of your preference. I'm using a NPN-NC one. 1 Blow fan for hotend Update 2019-06-19 ==================== I mounted the new laser-cut parts. A few adjustments were necessary, so I posted a new DXF for the U cut. I had to remove 5mm from each side to make it easier to mount and compatible with the MGN12 rail. But overall, it's an amazing stability and stiffness. I'm still waiting for the flanged LM8UU for the Z (as you can see on the pictures, I've adapted some Igus with tights). I hope the part arrives this week so I can start testing with a real print. Update 2019-05-16 ==================== We're working on simplifying the screw holes so it can be milled faster and cheaper. We did a prototype in MDF, and everything seems okay. Now we ordered some steel kits to effectively test it.
