Ultralight Face Shield

Ultralight Face Shield

thingiverse

This incredibly lightweight face shield is made up of two universal-fit eyeglasses clips and a sheet of overhead transparency film. The pair of clips prints out in about 30 minutes. The film is attached to the clips using short pieces of 1.75mm filament. The clips securely clip onto the earpieces of any glasses - prescription, readers, safety glasses, it doesn't matter. Print dozens of face shields for pennies each. UPDATE: I've added a second version (clips2.stl) that has shorter, reinforced tabs that are a little sturdier and easier to put on glasses with thinner earpieces. Note: A shout-out goes to ADHDroid with another version of this concept that pre-dates my design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4251688. Check it out - his actually does a better job protecting the forehead region.
