This ultrafiltrate system is designed specifically for use with Costar 50 ml tubes and Millipore filters that have a pore size of 0.45 um and a diameter of 25 mm. To maintain sterility, this system can be sterilized using gas, alcohol or ultraviolet light at all times. The goal is to keep the liquid sterile without having to transfer it from one sterile container to another Costar tube. The design allows for easy printing and assembly with only epoxy glue required. An additional material needed is an O-ring that measures 25 to 27 mm in diameter. Assembly and usage instructions can be found in the "Instructions.pdf" file.
