Summary This rack holder is designed specifically for 3000 Farad Capacitors, known as Ultracapacitors. Developed by Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group, it promotes the use of open-source methods in solar photovoltaic technology. Instructions These racking units are tailored to hold Maxwell BCAP3000 E270 T04 ultracapacitors. Print the STL file on a 3-D printer with at least 25% fill for optimal results. Each unit can hold four ultra-caps, and they should be staggered in rows as shown in our 12-ultracap array. The necessary number of units will depend on the size of your solar photovoltaic system. Specifications This rack holder is a crucial component in reducing the cost of solar photovoltaic technology using open-source methodologies. We are currently testing ultracaps in various solar systems, primarily off-grid and microgrid systems. We will update Thingiverse with new applications as they become confirmed.
