Ultra-minimal plastic-spring extruder
thingiverse
Designed from scratch in OpenSCAD using Thingiverse's 46749, a custom 3D printing tool. Inspired by Thingiverse's 411462, with tensioning spring integrated without the need for additional hardware. Parameters fully adjustable to accommodate Mk8 drive gears, 3mm filament and 624ZZ bearings or any other motors, filaments, and bearings. For the untested semi-automatic extruder currently in development: - Spring testing: needs a check - Add a finger pull mechanism: already complete - Implementing filament guides: now in place - Creating a dust box for a clean working environment: accomplished - Integrate hot end and Bowden mount specifically designed for E3D direct drive systems: ready, uses cable tie attachment Future features to be added: - Fan mount integration - x-carriage creation Source code on Github: https://github.com/gcolbourn/Prusa3-SemiU/blob/master/box_frame/minimal_plastic_spring_extruder.scad
