I designed this clip because this filament clip does a few things in combination that I haven't seen any other filament clip do to my satisfaction. - It is designed so it can stay permanently attached to the spool because the angled shape and low profile prevent filament from ever snagging on it. - Since it is permanently attached to the spool, it will always be there when you need it. - It takes up zero millimeters of space outside of the spool's original dimensions for maximum storage space efficiency. - It strains the filament less than the built in filament holes on most spools. To attach this, you simply glue the clip to the inside edge of the spool. You will need a strong adhesive you are confident in staying attached to your spool. I use 3M 300LSE transfer tape which is really good at sticking to plastics that a lot of other tapes don't stick to very well. 300LSE transfer tape does NOT stick to cardboard spools very well though. I still need to figure out what adhesive to use on those but I haven't bothered because the holes for clipping filament on the cardboard spools I've used seems to be a lot easier on the filament to avoid snapping it than the plastic spools.
