3/17/2018 - Development of this mount is being discontinued. One more fan duct has been made, an edit with a 3/4 circle shape. This will be the last thing uploaded. This mount works well. It has been used for some time now. A new mount is currently in development which won't be released until it's complete. 8/21/2017 - My friend downloaded the new fan duct and said it fits perfectly. Now I'm waiting to hear about its performance. 8/20/2017 - The fan duct specifically made for this carriage has just been finished. It hasn't been printed yet, so its performance is unknown. Its design allows for maximum airflow for improved cooling. 8/13/2017 - A quick update on a fan duct that fits well and works efficiently has been added. The original can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1954001 . This one is a remix of the original. Printing with the latest version of the carriage produces amazing results, with excellent quality and high speeds for the Anet. 8/3/2017 - On the 18mm sensor version, the nuts have been updated to spin on the sensor body. They used to hit against the carriage body, although there was enough clearance for it to work. 8/01/2017 - The latest version has been printed and fully assembled. It works beautifully. A blurry picture of the setup is available; a better one will be posted soon. There are some tweaks that can be done to improve its appearance rather than functionality. The 30mm to 40mm adapter is also being uploaded, as it produces great results. The goal is to create a package for the UL bowden carriage, including the carriage, fan duct, cap, and other necessary components. 7/30/17 - About 12% of printing remains on the latest version with an 18mm sensor. The print looks excellent so far. Pictures of the mark 2 are available, but my phone couldn't upload them. The sensor fits with just enough clearance. The only thing left to do is redesign the e3d v6 mount to add two more screws for improved clamping stability. 7/30/2017 - The mark 2 has been printed without compensating for shrinkage on the 18mm sensor, which needs to be addressed along with a few other issues. However, the zip tie mounts are functional. Printing at maximum speed produced an excellent result, with no support needed. At .1 layer height and 50% infill, it took over five hours to print. 7/28/2017 - The new version (mark 2) has been uploaded. The changelog includes fixed zip tie mounts, removal of the unnecessary brace, and addition of two sensor mount sizes: 12mm and 18mm. 7/27/2017 - This is the mark 1. It printed well but some issues were found in the mark 2 that's currently being designed. Firstly, the holes for the zip ties are too tight due to minimal shrinkage from printing. The angle of the LED also needs adjustment. The mount for the end was not redesigned, but it will be in the mark 2. UL Bowden carriage with LED - This design is based on a widely used bowden carriage that has been customized like most others, but its original form is sloppy after modification. So, I built one from scratch, inspired by the same design but completely reworked. This version is ultra-lightweight (large holes have been added where possible) for optimal performance with printer heads. The lighter the carriage, the better it works. The original carriage functions well, and this version aims to improve upon it while looking cool in the process. Currently printing the first one; pictures of the finished product will be posted later. No cap has been made yet, but the standard one from the original design should work fine for now. Eventually, a new cap will be designed and uploaded.
