Ultra-Light 18650 holder
thingiverse
Made a custom battery holder / tray for use with the Nanolongrange copter by Dave_C. Normally the 18650 holder is around 15-16 grams which is really heavy considering. My design prints out around 6g overall from generic 98A TPU. Obviously the metal clips will need to be inserted after the print. While for the mounting, just use the thinnest double sided tape you can find. (non-conductive) Print resolution: 0.2 mm Parameters: 3-4 Infill: 5-10% Material: 98A TPU Printer: Prussa-Mini Note: I could make a 4-5 gram version but this would require printing with Nylon. Which isn't so common nor easy to work with. Please leave comments so I can make improvements as needed. 7-13-2021: Provided a few example pictures on my print and the current project I am using it with. The copter is a 1S (18650) variant with winglets. All up weight with LiPo is 100g even. https://rotorbuilds.com/build/27673 7-26-2021: Added 4 gram 18650 holder. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally. One side allows the LiPo to enter and thus needs a small strap / zipzip / rubber band. The other side prevents the LiPo for slipping out. Overall this should help prevent the battery from being tossed in a crash. Please be aware that this design will likely change as I get around to printing and installing it on my tail-sitter quad build. 7-27-2021: Updated the original holder to also include the anti-throw guard and polarity symbol.
