Ultra Economical Drawer

Ultra Economical Drawer

thingiverse

3D printed drawer that demands minimal material, adaptable to your specific needs. At its original size, it can be printed with just two walls using a 0.4 mm extruder, resulting in incredibly low material usage. If you need to scale the design, I highly recommend doing so in integer values (2x, 3x, 4x, etc.) to ensure your slicer calculates straight lines without infills. In case this isn't feasible, verify that your extrusion width matches the wall thickness; some software allows for automatic adjustments at odd values like 0.46 mm, but aim for 0.4 mm if possible. The internal walls of the drawer itself are just one printer wall thick, so they should print at a single pass per layer using 0.4 mm settings. To minimize print time, reduce the number of top and bottom layers to an absolute minimum: ideally, use one for the bottom and two for the top. A decent infill density in the range of 20-30% will also help speed up the process.
