Ultipanel beta: Ultimaker autonomous printing

thingiverse

This updated panel enables you to set parameters from the firmware, such as max-speeds, accelerations, and store settings in eeprom. It also allows you to choose files from an SD card for printing and perform other functions like homing and monitoring temperature. The design requires a fork of Marlin/RepRap firmware and enabling ULTIPANEL configuration. For autonomous printing, connect a 12V fan output to the Vin pin on the Ultimaker PCB, using a 12V supply for safety reasons. A new panel is nearly finished, but the current design is considered poor due to large PCBs. The panels have two single-sided PCBs - one for the LCD and another for interactive parts. Videos showcase the menus in action, initially using all available keys but now featuring a new system designed with Marlin and Joris' input. To create this project, you'll need 3x3k3 resistors, 3x1k8 resistors, 1x470 pre-transistor resistor, 8x10k-20k 0805 resistors for pull-up, an SD-Card adapter (Hirose reverse type HRS163-3416A 130511RB), a 2N3904 transistor, a 74HCT165 chip, a continuous piezo beeper, a 20x4 LCD, two air wires (red), two 2x5 connectors for Ultimaker PCB cables, and various headers for LCD and switches. The switch PCB includes four multimec navimec keys with caps, two red multimec navimec keys with central ring caps, and a large leftover rotary encoder (probably Alps).
